A Big Welcome for Visitors to the Probus Club of Ballarat South

A message from our President

Welcome to all members and visitors to the Ballarat South Probus Club website.

We are coming into our 13th year (2020) with a near to full membership of 130 members.

Our meetings are monthly on the second Thursday of each month at 9.30 am, at which our Committee and Activity Leaders update members on upcoming events and information regarding our club.

A strong Committee overseas our Activity Leaders which ensures that a continual range of over 20 interests satisfies our members.

We are young and progressive and always welcome visitors and prospective members to attend our meetings. Attendance can be arranged by contacting our Secretary via email or letter as per the “Contact Us” option on our website.

Thank you,

Tony (2020 President)

Probus Club of Ballarat South

Why Probus?

The name “Probus” is derived from joining abbreviations of the words “Professional” and “Business”.

Membership is open to all retired or semi-retired people, whether or not they were in engaged in Professional or Business careers.

All Probus Groups are formed by Rotary Clubs, and once started, are autonomous.

Probus Clubs are not like, for example, Service Clubs.

We are a not-for-profit Organisation, non-Political, non-Sectarian, and do not engage in fund-raising.

Joining a Probus Club provides you with an opportunity to make new friends, engage in activities you wish to, and avoid isolation and boredom.

Why Probus Club of Ballarat South Inc.?

We are one of the newer Probus Clubs in Ballarat with so much to offer prospective members.  We are an active Club with many interest groups and social activities in which to participate.  We care for one another, enjoy great fellowship, discover new interests, have a lot of fun and find new friends.

Our membership is not limited to people from Ballarat South, we welcome applications from residents within the Ballarat area and beyond.

Thank you for visiting our website.
